Researching ways to deliver affordable clean drinking water
We worked with a major European manufacturer, an Indian social enterprise, and the consultancy Purpose to research ways of delivering affordable clean water systems to low-income communities. In the course of the project, we conducted immersive user research in low-income and informal settlements in New Delhi, India.
Based on the insights from the research, we designed ways to deepen the engagement of the local communities and to encourage them to drink clean water. We also designed concepts for inviting global designers and engineers to participate in an open-source innovation process to adapt and improve upon the systems.
